Rommel Roque was appointed Country Manager for the Philippine Operations in December 2012. He is an industry Thought Leader and has been invited as key resource to speaking engagements locally and abroad. Rommel is the executive sponsor and regional lead for ManpowerGroup’s Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) organization providing strategies, policies and best practices for the Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME) region. He is a subject matter expert on the company’s Borderless Talent Solutions (BTS) offering where his knowledge in global talent migration patterns, challenges and solutions delivers an important role. He is also concurrently President of Prime Manpower Resources Development, Inc., the Philippine affiliate of ManpowerGroup for permanent recruitment, executive search, RPO and international resourcing solutions.

Rommel joined the Philippine operations of ManpowerGroup in 2007 where he led the launch of interfacing systems for key accounts and worked on designing unique workforce solutions for strategic clients. In 2009, he was tapped to head ManpowerGroup’s Borderless Talent Solutions organization, handling one of ManpowerGroup’s largest operations (Japan) and was promoted to Regional Director for Asia Pacific and the Middle East in 2011.

Rommel has 20 years of experience in general management, finance, and sales and marketing. He has held operational and senior positions in engineering, electronics, telecommunications and human resource services. He has extensive global, regional and local experience and has implemented top-level strategies resulting in company turnarounds.

Before joining ManpowerGroup, Rommel had a successful career in incubating technology companies in the Philippines and Japan, with grants from international aid organizations. He has also worked on integrated solutions and key account management for a leading Japanese IT and document solutions company and managed this company’s Asia Pacific regional sales and marketing operations while stationed in Singapore.

Rommel holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Marketing from Nihon University in Japan. He is fluent in written and spoken English, Filipino, and Japanese.
